Framingham Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee Meets 4/11

The Framingham Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 pm in Conference Room 1 of town hall.

Chair William Hanson reports the following is Tuesday night's agenda:
7:30 PM

-> Vote on meeting minutes
-> Review recent correspondence and media articles

7:45 PM

-> Briefing on MassHighway's proposal for the reconstruction of the Fountain Street bridge as presented at the public hearing on April 6
-> Status of the Perils for Pedestrians series for cablecast on Framingham Public Access
-> The 126/135 Task Force held its fifth meeting on March 27. FBPAC members have been appointed to this committee to help ensure that the final design enhances accommodation for pedestrians and bicyclists plus provides an aesthetically pleasing streetscape.
-> Status of the CTPS feasibility study for a rail trail through Nobscot
-> Status of the Farm Pond Task Force and the project to install bicycle lockers at MBTA commuter rail stations in the region

Work sessions
-> Review guidelines for the annual street and sidewalk surveys. The Selectmen have requested that the surveys specifically note streets where line markings can be added or modified to better delineate road shoulders as bicycle areas.
-> Develop a press release about the pending installation of bicycle Share the Road signs
