Why We Need You
MetroFuture: Making a Greater Boston Region is an initiative to identify how the region should grow through the year 2030; the final strategy must reflect the many voices and interests of the region's residents. Whether your concerns relate to housing affordability, traffic congestion, water shortages, public safety, the region's diversity, municipal finance or other issues, reserve a seat at the table! MetroFuture is a project of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), the regional planning agency for 101 Metro Boston communities.
What to Expect at the Forums
You will work with maps, computer tools, and people from across the region to create a detailed picture of how you think Metro Boston should grow over the coming decades. Together, you will develop different options for the region's future and explore what these changes would mean for our communities, our environment, and our quality of life.
